Blue Exorcist × Black Butler Change Places in Special Collaboration
TV anime series Blue Exorcist: Kyoto Impure King Arc and the anime movie Black Butler: Book of the Atlantic revealed the visuals of their new collaboration.
The two projects have been claiming on their official websites that something will happen at 9:00 p.m. on January 1, 2017. The Blue Exorcist official website revealed an illustration of Rin and Yukio, entitled ‘Blue Butler’. Rin is dressed as Sebastian and Yukio is dressed as the death god, Grell. The Black Butler official website, on the other hand, revealed an illustration of Sebastian and Grell, entitled ‘Black Exorcist’. It features Sebastian dressed as Rin and Grell dressed as Yukio.
You can also hear a new set of recordings for each character. These include, ‘I’ll become a special butler!’ by Rin (voiced by Nobuhiko Okamoto), ‘You’re stupid, brother. Why do you say you want to become a butler?’ by Yukio (voiced by Jun Fukuyama) ‘I’m only an Exorcist’ by Sebastian (voiced by Daisuke Ono) ‘I’m still an Exorcist DEATH★’ by Grell (voiced by Jun Fukuyama).
The ads for this collaboration will be displayed at Metro Promenade in Tokyo Metro’s Shinjuku station from January 2 to 8, 2017.
The Blue Exorcist: Kyoto Impure King Arc, is based on Volumes 5 to 9 of the manga Blue Exorcist. The anime adaptation will air from January 6, 2017.
Black Butler: Book of the Atlantic, is an animated movie based on volumes 11 to 14 of the manga Black Butler. The story takes place on a luxury cruise ship, and the movie will be released on January 21, 2017.
